# Altixia Git > Altixia's private Forgejo instance (git.altixia.com): source code of Altixia's tools and of its clients' websites. Every repository requires an account; there is no anonymous access and no self-service sign-up. People sign in through Altixia ID in a browser. Agents use the REST API with a token issued by this Forgejo instance: preferably OAuth2 with the person's Altixia ID sign-in (public client `d3d18cf7-01e1-465e-9050-667d88c646fa`, PKCE, loopback redirect), otherwise a personal access token. An Altixia ID token is not accepted by the API. ## Start here - [auth.md](https://git.altixia.com/auth.md): how an agent gets and uses a credential - [API catalog](https://git.altixia.com/.well-known/api-catalog): REST API, OpenAPI spec, health - [API reference](https://git.altixia.com/api/swagger): interactive OpenAPI documentation - [Skill: using the Altixia Git API](https://git.altixia.com/.well-known/agent-skills/altixia-git/SKILL.md) ## Good to know - `main` is protected on most repositories: branch, open a pull request, merge. - Merging into `main` deploys some client websites automatically; read the repository README first.
